Q:Do I need a twitter account to use this site?
A: Although it is not completely necessary to have a twitter account to use this site, it is highly recommended. Without a twitter account you will only be able to click on links within some of the posts. This will probably hinder you in your job search as you will not be able to reply to posts on twitterjobcast.com. If you would like to sign up for a twitter account, go to
http://twitter.com to create your free account.
Q:How do I post new jobs to twitterjobcast.com?
A:Simply logon to your
twitter account and post a new tweet with the word
hiring. If you don't have a twitter account, go to
http://twitter.com and create a free account.
Q:Why did you create twitterjobcast?
A:I was laid off from my position as the Information Technology Manager at a robotics company in Michigan. With a tough job market, I thought it would be nice to help others that were recently laid off or just looking for a career change.
Q:How does this site work?
A:Twitterjobcast is written in PHP and makes requests to the twitter API. Additionally, the Yahoo! Maps API is used to translate locations into geocodes for use with the twitter API.
Q:I'd like to learn more about the creator of this site. Where do I go?
A: There is an
About link next to the one you clicked on to get here. Follow that link and you'll find more information than you care to know about the creator of this site.
